A Rust server built around one simple idea
CrustyRusty is a 10x PvE server with a weekly purge day. For six days of the wipe, you farm, build, progress, and raid NPC bases in peace. On purge day, PVP flips on server-wide - every base becomes a target, every alliance gets tested, and the sulfur you've been hoarding all week finally gets spent.
The server is designed for players who want the Rust experience without the constant offline-raid anxiety. You can log off knowing your base is safe - until purge day, when it isn't. That tension between peaceful accumulation and one day of total war is what defines the CrustyRusty experience.
Permanent PVP zones exist around select monuments at all times. These aren't safe farming spots - they're contested areas where players compete for the server's most valuable progression resources. You can avoid them entirely and still enjoy the server, but the best loot and fastest progression run straight through them.
What makes CrustyRusty different
Base gather starts at 5x. The SkillTree progression system brings you up to 10x+ as you level. Every skill point makes a tangible difference - you earn your power, not handed it.
Six days of peaceful PvE building and progression. On day seven, PVP goes live server-wide. Every base is a target, every stockpile is at stake. One day of total war.
Select monuments are always PVP-flagged with high-value loot. Risk vs. reward - the best progression runs through contested territory, but you can progress without it.
Five difficulty tiers from Easy (solo-friendly) to Nightmare (full group required). Pre-crafted explosives and exclusive loot make these the server's best PvE content.
Convoy runs hourly, Armored Train roams the rails, Bradley and Heli patrol. Every event pays out economics currency and SkillTree XP on completion.
Max level 250 with 2 points per level. Mining, woodcutting, combat, crafting - every action earns XP. SkillTree IS the progression system. Prestige up to 3 times.
